Police brutality is again in the news after video surfaced regarding the so-called “Pool Party Incident” in McKinney, Texas on Friday, June 5th.
The video in question was shot by 15-year-old Brandon Brooks, a resident of the area. Warning: this video contains strong language

… as does the host of the party. While the events of the day are still being debated, it is clear that the pool party was advertised for weeks in advance.
The officer whose actions are in question, Office Eric Casebolt, was Officer of the Year in 2008. Initially, he was put on administrative leave, and he has since resigned his position.

An investigation of the incident is currently underway by McKinney Police Department’s Internal Affairs division.
