Harriette Thompson: 92 years runnin’

Most people consider living until the age of 92 an accomplishment, but that wasn’t enough for two-time cancer survivor Harriette Thompson of Charlotte, North Carolina.

SHE DID IT! 92-year-old Harriette Thompson became the oldest woman to run a marathon on Sunday when she crossed the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series finish line >>> http://on.nbc7.com/62RVYw2

This was Harriette’s 16th marathon after finishing her first at the age of 76. Not only does she hold the world record as the oldest person to finish a marathon at 92 years and 65 days, but she beat the previous time by over two hours. She completed the race in just 7 hours, 24 minutes and 36 seconds. I don’t even think I could walk 26.2 miles, let alone run it, and I’m not the only one.

But how did Harriette feel the day after the race?

You rock, Harriette!
