Most people consider living until the age of 92 an accomplishment, but that wasn’t enough for two-time cancer survivor Harriette Thompson of Charlotte, North Carolina.
This was Harriette’s 16th marathon after finishing her first at the age of 76. Not only does she hold the world record as the oldest person to finish a marathon at 92 years and 65 days, but she beat the previous time by over two hours. She completed the race in just 7 hours, 24 minutes and 36 seconds. I don’t even think I could walk 26.2 miles, let alone run it, and I’m not the only one.
Told dad a 92 year old did a marathon. He said he couldn’t even walk it. Mom said she couldn’t even drive it #fam

A 92 yo woman finished a marathon and I can hardly run a mile without seeing my own death — Carolyn Kimbro (@kimbyy97) June 3, 2015
But how did Harriette feel the day after the race?
