I love the new Google logo for reminding me that everything I enjoy in life will eventually die

My review of Google’s new logo : slipshod, substandard, godawful, pathetic, abominable, defective, atrocious and not good at all. — bad websites (@badwebsites) September 2, 2015
It’s not universally hated, though. Many love the changes in Google’s branding, and how the new logo seems to tie the company to its newly created holding company – Alphabet.

We may think of the Google logo as timeless, but it actually has changed more often than we realized. I was shocked to see how many times it’s changed just since 2010. It seems unlikely that this new logo will be the final iteration for the global giant.
Plus, in the meantime, it may be able to help us with one thing Google Maps failed us on.
The new Google logo looks like it can definitely tell me how to get to Sesame Street.
